Data becomes the cart before the horse, and instead of informing educators it dictates to educators surpress their professional judgment and reducing educators to less than a computer print out in value. NEA must lead the way in pressing for alternatives to high-stakes testing. The teacher's judgment must drive education decision and valued ahead of spread sheets.
