Ms. C at Psych Naw… Teacher? has no love for standardized tests.

They would be great if they actually did what they were supposed to do, which (if what I learned in my methods courses was correct) is assess students so that teachers can determine their strengths and weaknesses. However, this is impossible when the information doesn’t come for months, and rare is the day when systems are up so that said teachers can CHECK the information. Don’t even get me started about the fact that many times teachers can’t even check all students because they are forbidden access to anyone besides their homeroom.

Her frustration prompted this first-year teacher to post an appeal to the Dept of Ed.
