Tonight we’re going to party like it’s 1999

President Bill Clinton — who once lurved the idea of annual testing – reverses himself, according to Ed Week (registration required). The former prez says if he were still in charge, he’d be makin’ some changes to NCLB.

“You don’t need to test every child, every year,” Clinton told the National School Boards Association folks at their annual meeting last week.

You don’t? Hmm….what a great idea!
